FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What is the membership fee? The monthly membership fee is $45 starting January 1, 2025. Quarterly membership is $160, and Annual membership is $450.
3. How are the membership fees used? Membership dues help support community service initiatives, donations, and provide assistance for personal events like bereavements, births, and marriages of paid members. A portion of dues is allocated to fund monthly donations, although members are welcome to contribute extra if they wish. We also use a portion to pay the monthly bills that SBTOA have which are website/email fee, text/email blast fee, jotforms, advertisement etc.
2. How can I become a member? Simply click any JOIN button to be taken to the payment portal. Once there, enter your information, the membership amount that works for you, and submit payment. You'll be contact by Leadership to official welcome you to the team!
4. Are there any requirements for participation in events? Members are encouraged to attend community service events at least once every four months. For other events, participation is optional, but attending helps support other members and strengthens the community.
5. Can members promote their business through The Spa Boss Tribe of Alabama? Yes! Members will have designated promotional days where they can create offers, posts, or call-to-actions (CTAs). Other members will help by sharing or promoting these posts on social media or by following the business's pages.
7. What happens if I can't attend an event or community service day? While participation in events and service projects is encouraged, it's not mandatory. However, it would be a blessing if you can attend and contribute in any way possible.
9. What are "Business Showers"? Business Showers are events where the tribe selects a member each month to support. The group will collectively choose a day to shop at their business, visit their website, or send them financial support (e.g., via Cash App).
6. Will members be featured in a business directory? Yes, a directory will be created that lists and promotes only paid members. The president will also help promote these businesses in several Facebook business groups.
8. Are events free for members? Events hosted by The Spa Boss Tribe will either be free or discounted, depending on the event. For example, a $25 event may be free for members, while a $50 event may require members to pay a portion.
10. Will I get any personal recognition as a member? Yes, all members will receive a birthday gift and a shout-out on their birthday, celebrating their special day within the tribe.
11. What benefits do members receive? Accountability Partners: Each member will have an accountability partner within the group to support their business journey. Business Showers: Each month, a member is chosen, and the group will shop at their business or support them through platforms like Cash App. Vending Event Discounts: Members receive a 50% discount on all vending events hosted by The Spa Boss Tribe of Alabama (except for award ceremonies). Event Attendance: Members can attend events either for free or at a discounted price, depending on the ticket cost for the month. For example, if an event is $25, members can attend for free. If it's $50, there will be a smaller fee. Birthday Recognition: Every paid member receives a birthday gift and a shout-out on their special day. Membership Contributions: Membership fees help fund support for bereavements, births, marriages, and similar occasions for paid members. Bartering & Content Days: Members can attend content days to collaborate, create content, and promote each other’s businesses. Promotion Days: Each member will have a designated "promo day" where others will share their business or social media pages. Business Directory: A business directory will feature and promote only paid members, including shout-outs by the president in various Facebook business groups. Community Service: The Spa Boss Tribe will participate in monthly community service projects. Members are required to attend at least one event per quarter (every four months), although attending all would be appreciated.
